My son has worked with Coach Lou for two years now, both on and off the field (as a player, but also in agility and private lessons). Within the first few weeks, we knew that Lou was something special. He combines intensive training with a wealth of knowledge and a great sense of humor to create an atmosphere that makes the kids WANT to work hard for him. He is able to make small changes in the boys' approach, form, thought processes, etc. that result in almost immediate evidence of improvement on the field. My son has learned so much from Lou, both in the breadth and depth of a variety of positions. He's learned more in the past two years than in his previous eight years of baseball experience. Lou's approach to modification is not a "cookie cutter" fix. He recognizes that each person is different, and has a seemingly never ending "bag of tricks" for the boys. He will continue to try different things for each boy until he finds what works for them as an individual. Some of the boys have bad habits that have been so ingrained in them that change is extremely difficult. Even the most challenging of kids is served well by Lou's patience and tenacity. He doesn't give up on them and rises to the challenge of finding that one thing that will "click" for that struggling kid. Lou is an amazing coach, and we feel so fortunate to have been blessed by finding him. He gives his time and expertise willingly and enthusiastically. He obviously enjoys himself, which reinforces the love of the game to the boys. I can't imagine my son playing for anyone but Coach Lou."
